The fall 2007 semester is over at Bradley University, and as all the Pi Kapps of the Epsilon Mu leave for the holidays, one final update is in order. On the evening of November 30th into the morning of December 1st, 7 new men entered the ranks of active membership in Pi Kappa Phi. Their names and numbers are:
430- Brian Kroeter
431- Aaron Friedman
432- Aaron Signer
433- Jeff Votava
434- Daniel Bressler
435- Alex Keating
436- Joe Glauert
We look forward to these men contributing to the continued growth of the Epsilon Mu chapter of Pi Kappa Phi, and welcome them into our midst.
The other major event occurring at the end of the semester is elections. As this is the fall semester, all 7 executive council positions were elected. The results are as follows:
Archon- Ed Gillen
Vice-Archon- Steve Evangelista
Treasurer- Scott Taylor
Secretary- Kyle Campoli
Warden- Patrick Sullivan
Historian- Scott Kenley
Chaplain- Matt Rock
In addition, non-executive council positions were elected:
Push America Chairman- Aaron Signer
Social Chair- Scott Kenley
Assistant Treasurer- Alex Keating
The chapter is excited and anxious to see what these newly elected men can bring to their positions.

I-Week
It is that time of year at the Pi Kapp house. Initiation week has begun for our 7 associate members. Some people have called it "the best and worst week" of their lives. We will see how the Beta Gamma does at handling the craziness that is their I-Week.

Empathy Dinner
The Pi Kappa Phi house hosted an Empathy dinner on the night of November 10th. To raise awareness, attendees were given a disability at the door that varied from blindness to the loss of a dominant hand. By being put in the shoes of a disabled person, guests discovered their challenges first hand. Attendance was great and over 200 dollars were raised for Push America.

AccessAbility Project Fall 07
On Saturday, November 3rd, Epsilon Mu completed an AccessAbility Project through Push America. We built a deck with a wheelchair ramp on a PARC group home for the disabled. A Push Partnership Grant paid for the supplies and Pi Kapps supplied the labor for the day. Everyone was up early and we finished the project by 4 PM. Another successful Push event for Pi Kapp E-Mu!

Giving a big Push
This past weekend, chapter members Bill Coons, Ed Gillen, and myself participated in a Give-a-Push Weekend at an Easter Seals Camp in Wisconsin Dells, WI. We put up a 32 by 50 foot pavilion for their respite camp for kids with disabilities.

It was my first national push event as well as Ed's and it was a really great experience for us all.
*Dont forget for all you Chicago area guys - We are doing tollroads in Schaumburg at Roselle and Higgins tomorrow (Saturday the 13th). If you are close stop and say hi to support us and Push America.

Deadmans!
Our Fall Deadman's date party was this Saturday. Our (now 7) new members had a great time at their first social event of the semester. They are starting their pledge semester and doing a good job. Here are some pics.

Gotta do the boxer shot.

Pyramid had some issues...

In the next few weeks I will try to get up profiles of our new associate members. Alumni: if you have any news or pictures that you would like me to post, send me (Jon) an email at jfredbeck@bradley.edu.

8 New Pi Kapps!
We have 8 new members! They are:
Aaron Friedman
Aaron Signer
Alex Keating
Andrew Stewart
Brian Kroeter
Dan Bressler
Jeff Votava
Joe Gauert
The chapter is extremely excited to welcome these guys into our fraternity. They will be part of the Beta Gamma pledge class. We are also hoping that the pledge class will continue to grow over the next two weeks. All of the actives put in a lot of effort and we are now reaping the rewards of our hard work. We feel like we have a group of future leaders.
Overall, recruitment went very well campus wide. 183 guys chose fraternities at the bid ceremony. We held our own compared to the other houses and beat many much larger ones.
Thank you again to all the alumni who came to help recruit. Without your help we would not have been this successful. We are going to continue to work hard and build our numbers throughout the whole school year. Here are some pics from the very successful weekend!

Rush Update!
Round 1 of rush went very well. We got 30 guys back for 2nd round which is a big increase over last years' 18-20. We have 4 or 5 other perspectives who did not go through rush also that we think we have a really good chance at getting to join. 211 guys went through the rush process total and picked houses for 2nd round which is an increase from 172 last year and everyone has agreed that this year's group was full of much higher quality guys. The whole house did a great job and we are going to hang out with as many of the guys as possible this week. Everyone is excited for next weekend. The schedule is:
Saturday Sept 15th Round 2 - 12:00-4:25 PM
Sunday Sept 16th Round 3 - 12:00-2:50 PM and Bid Ceremony 8:00 PM

The guys getting ready for the craziness of rush.
